Taking Screenshots in Live06?

Postby Impose on Tue Sep 27, 2005 12:07 pm

Heyaz, noob question here, but how do you take screen shots in Live 06? I dont have any of the .dbf file editors or anything, only have the net at work and cant burn CD's :(

Is there a way to do it without editors?

Also, if there is, what websites are you guys using to host the pics?

If it's like 05, go to replay and click the camera. The screens save to the My Docs/NBA Live/screenshots folder.

You can host at imageshack or photobucket (Y)

F12 and Print Screen take a screenshot of whatever is currently showing on your PC. If you do that, you have to paste the image in a photo editor.

I am pretty sure when you click F12, it will save the screens in a folder. Atleast, I think that's how it was done in 05

Oh shit. :x Sorry Impose, I'm not thinking clearly. F12 takes a screenshot in Live, it does the same as the camera thingy. Doing that saves to the folder. Print Screen is a function of Windows and takes a screen of whatever is on the monitor, and you have to paste it to an editor. My bad.

Yeah they are easy to confuse. That's how I used to take screenshots because I didn't know anything bout the F12 thing.

Give this program a go impose
http://www.fraps.com/

U can use it with any game
Just make sure u set it to take .jpg screens instead of .bmp.
The .bmp ones come out too big in file size

Then use this site to host the pics

Fraps is more or less for taking videos rather than screens. you can take a screenshot of anything with printscreen button. well except videos on some media players

Fraps takes screens very well. Printscreen you have to exit or minimize the game and paste into a picture editor, waste of time.

Fraps is better then using F12 in game aswell coz it can save directly to a .jpg.
F12 in NBA Live saves to a .tga so it means more stuffing around changing formats

It takes in-game screens but no longer works in the menus.

but his (junwin's) question was about NEEDING Fraps to take screens since he thought he needed a third party program just to take screens when in fact he didn't. I just explained further that most people just use Fraps mainly for taking videos

thanks for the info, but fraps is still a better option, even though the video capturing sucks...(70mb for 8 seconds? lol)
