I'm in Melbourne, Australia and before I go out and buy the game I want to know...

1. Is this an early release?
2. Will an updated version with new rosters be released with the console games release?

Or will it not matter because patching can fix it?

Yeah you will, patchers will make new cyberfaces + portraits for rookies and such. Can't do it on console obviously but on PC...

2. I doubt the console version will feature more up to date rosters, but I suppose I shouldn't rule it out.

Since the PC version came out later, the rosters for the PC version were more up to date.

well then maybe it isnt wrong to assume the console ones will be more up-to-date, maybe they realise that PC version CAN update rosters whilst others cant

Not necessarily. Remember that the console versions are slated to be released September 28th and the PC version seemingly leaked here in Australia. It was supposed to come out the same time or later.
