This is what I think..and it might be true.

i think the live in the current-gen system will be the best because it is simply going to be the LAST live for that system. NBA Live 06 will be the last live fo PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube and I think that EA Canada is really trying to make tis the best live for the current-gen systems before the Xbox360 comes out. Then the NBA Lives starting from 2007 will be bad until the Xbox after the 360 comes out.

No..Same with PS1 before,when PS2 arrived theres still live for PS1 but with different graphics etc etc..Therefore the game in the lower version will be having lesser attention..

I'm guessing there'll still be a PS2 version but like the transition between the original PlayStation and the PS2, it will look watered down compared to the next-gen version.

in my opninion for this..their will be a version for the ps2 next year..if people remembered 2003? in thier sites..theyDID tell you it was the last version of live for ps...so i am speculating it will still release nba live 07 for ps2 and etc.

I think 2007 or 2008 will be the last for Xbox/PS2. It would be ridiculous if this was the last one, not everyone's going to have a next-gen console within 12 months. They'd lose too many sales that way.

EA has to make NBA Live 07 for the PS3 a really good game, better than the current next-gen game.
as for the current gen systems, it will take a long time for them to "phase out"

Well..they are spending soooo much more time on the X360 version then the current gen versions...and after the 06 is released most of the EA Canada team will concentrate on the X360 version and they will hardly try o make the current gen version good.
