Slam Dunk Contest is WAK!

Wed Aug 31, 2005 10:54 am

a'yo i seen the vids on the nba-live.com homepage from i think, the ign website and DAMN! it looks pretty much the same to me. the only thing really that they have added is new alley opp animations and just a couple new dunks. everything else looks exactly like it did last year. but who knows maybe they put those ideas on ign to throw people off. but from what i saw on ign it looks like the same ol thing in 05 live. but i don't know tell me what ya'll think?

iight my bad dawg i ain't see that post. but anyway, DAMN! where are all the new dunks and alleys everyones been asking and waiting for? looks to me like everything is the same as last years contest. wats up wit that man this slam dunk mode was supposed be updated wit new crazy dunks and new alleys and it's just a throwback from last year. c'mon man are these vids teasers (fakes to throw us off) or the real thing? somebody come up wit somethin quick cuz by the looks of the previews the only thing that is going to be beast bout the game is the superstar controls and gameplay. holla

EA's focus this year was the freestyle superstars, so I'm not very suprised that they didn't change much of the dunk contest. None of the teasers and trailers really had a slam dunk contest in it anyway. holla.

EA doesn't have enough time to 'fake' videos. They need to advertise that they didn nothing but add freestyle superstars.

greald greens a pretty sick dunker

Wed Aug 31, 2005 8:47 pm

yea u rite green is sick but so are they all. the point is that the dunk contest is madd wak! some stuff from 05 = wak and boring!

Thu Sep 01, 2005 7:52 am

Yea everything cant be perfect, but the Dunk Contest is pretty bad (N) Theres just something about it

Thu Sep 01, 2005 8:49 pm

It's not bad at all except that the contest was being held in the dark which is not realistic..

Fri Sep 02, 2005 2:10 am

not only dat dude the dunk contest was the same as last year! SAME DUNKS AND ANIMATIONS = WAK! i'm sorry to say buy i'm dissapointed. but i also i have to say that even though ea didn't really improve the dunk contest the superstar abilites are pretty sick. holla!

who cares, it sucked last year, and will suck this year. shit it will suck next year too. it was a waste of time to even add the stupid contest to the game.

Fri Sep 02, 2005 3:20 am

I don't agree. It's nice to have it there..in the middle of the season..it breaks the routine a little.

If you play it as a game mode it gets boring, but once per season i enjoy it

It's not a huge part of the game. I can guarantee if it was improved out of sight, there would be complaints about EA spending all their time on the dunk contest.

It's look the same as last year, but i think that this is not the biggest problem of Slam Dunk Contest, SDC' need to be more realistic with autentic dunks, i hate those dunks of the screen and clock(beetween the legs x 2) and all the imposibble jams., i ment that in other topic b4, its so weak and arcade, there are many great dunks in real nba, every good dunker from Nba have few fancy autentic dunks in his repertoar so WHO need those poor dunks of the big screen and stuff? I don't! :x

Yeah. Plus, be grateful that they even made the All-Star Weekend into NBA Live to add some enjoyment in the game.

They already got the money, live series are many years on the world video games market, only thing they need to do is accept our wishlist and make the game better!

i also watch the video too... :( same old comentary..."give him a 60!!!" atleast they could add some new commentary...nba live 2005 got so repetitive i screwed up a dunk to get some new commentary:P yeah and i agreee with andrew ea might decide to retouch it again in the coming years. and in my opinion..atleast they touched it up a bit...instead of like left it all alone.

Sun Sep 11, 2005 2:01 pm

commentary sounds different or atleast it does to me...it wasnt as boring as 2005, but its still kinda boring.
