how many freestyles left till getting some info of dynasty

Fri Aug 26, 2005 5:27 pm

i'm just wondering if anybody knows how many freestyle superstars are left until we get some information about dynasty mode?

lool i'm with you on that one...it's about time ea gave us a glimpse of what's to come...
that is... if there really is anything worth mentioning

freestyle superstars is a great feature and adds a lot of depth to the gameplay element of the game...plus it's should make it way more fun :) , but your right that dynasty mode deserves it's fair share of attention, especially with the reputation the mode has had in the past.

I believe there's two left, though that doesn't necessarily mean we'll be getting any Dynasty feature articles after that.

Well, Rob at IGN said in the forums that he would do a 'Dynasty Diary' like they did with NCAA football. That would not be far away if you compare it to the time when he made that. There had come out a bunch of POTD already for NCAA, so perhaps a week or two until he makes that for NBA Live-

i'd like an overally gameplay review too. All they've touched on atm is the superstar modes whereas i wanna know other things.

eg:
If my big man rebounds the ball on D is he left to dribble the ball up?
Are the players slow to setup on offense?
Do the players on offense with the ball get 'mugged'

ultimately small things like that make or break the game.

You could be right Andrew, but I think the Dynasty feature will come after the superstars moves because it will be a week into September and that's when they gave out Dynasty Mode info last year.

Who cares the Dynasty if you can't play more than two straight games because of desperation caused by an unreal gameplay ? But it's only my opinion. Simulating games is effortless. (N)

you are not going to play every game are you? personally i miss around with the options in the dynasty, meaning trades, training, season stats and other things. so playing is not the only thing you are going to do. i personally simulate the game almost half or most of the time after my first season. if you play each game and do nothing, it gets boring. doing other stuff makes it more exciting and fun!

Dynasty Diary... is taht the same as the thing last year where some guy took control of Golden State and basically made the game sound asthough it was the most realistic experience of his life. Even to the point where he said about Pietrus "he's so athletic"... despite him virtually playing like every other guy in the game.

Regardless it'll be nice to get ANY info about it.

I have high hopes on the Dynasty Mode.

Some of the things that really bugs me on Live 05 is that you can't run fast breaks! coz everytime you passed the ball to the one closer go the basket he stops and shit (only like 1-2% of the times he won't stop and keep running.)

The stupid PDA shitty thingy has got to changed. Too many unimportant messages bugging me and shit.

i will....always do.

Exactly Jae. That was Jon Robinson who did it. The sad part is that he didn't continue the Diary like he said he would.

If we get some more info, great. But I just have a feeling that we'll end up learning more about Dynasty Mode and whatnot after the game actually comes out and we can all explore it ourselves.

The dynasty mode is the backbone of the entire Live series. It has to improve on a yearly basis. Its time to get some info about this feature!! All I care about is the dynasty mode because the little time I have to play, I want to continue on a "story-line" type feature to keep me playing. If the dynasty suckes, so does the game. Improved gameplay features are excellent additions(like the freestyle additions and hopefully better fast-breaks, not like in 05 where you can never fast-break), however, there needs to be more options away from just what happens in gameplay. But at the same time, I'm a huge FIFA fan and there is absolutely no info about FIFA 06 and it comes out the same day as Live 06 here in Canada. So I guess we shouldn't complain.

For me GAMEPLAY is the no. 1 important and Dynasty mode is just 2nd. Hope to see the Defensive categories.

I believe this question is answered. Check out Gamespot and see the updates there.

Where was inside and outside stoppers already..

Fri Sep 02, 2005 5:40 pm

Not to promote it too much, but there's a little bit of Dynasty info in the Q&A I was able to conduct with the producers. No hands-on impressions though, I'm afraid. :(

Tue Sep 06, 2005 7:22 am

how would you do that?

Tue Sep 06, 2005 9:39 pm

Do what? Conduct a Q&A? I asked questions, the producers answered them. How would I give hands-on impressions? I'd have to play the game then make observations.
