Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

Most of the players that come out of the draft have something "wrong" with them... They are far from perfect, but the fact is that most of the players that enter the draft have "something" wrong with them in real life. And usually all the guys in real life have something right about them too. This is not always reflected in a decent way in Live, but it's mostly true.
One more thing about the "crappy" players that the draft produces... I've said it before... Of course the players that come out of the draft are bad since they are balanced for the original rosters and not Andrews "everyones overall goes up by 5 points" rosters... Andrew does great rosters, but the rosters just make the rookies seem even worse...
The draft is decent and we'll just have to deal with it. There are some excellent players in the drafts too and not all of them are under-sized for their positions. I usually find players that are "big" and are pretty good in the draft and have only been totally screwed a couple of times. So, you can't get a LeBron James with the 22nd pick in the draft, well no one does. You get average players with those picks and with a weak draft depth, you get guys that sometimes don't even make the opening day rosters, like in real life.
The guys that are picked in the top 5 in Live drafts are usually pretty good. Or they are good at atleast a couple of things...
One thing that really bothers me is that the guys that do come out of the draft usually have very low scores on Offensive and Defensive Awereness. Those are basically the way they play the game and if the position themselves correctly or not or do they wander around the court looking like they are lost. This the factor that should develop almost the most rapidly for a player. He gets to run some plays and learns some plays and thus becomes better at reading opposing defenses/offenses and knows how to position himself better... The Awereness ratings were usually in the 30's with the guys that I'd usually draft -> Totally clueless. Also basic athleticism of a NBA wanna-be should be set, so that no guard has speed of 40 or no center would have a 90 quickness (does this happen? I can't remember) and the fact that some guys have Speed 52 and quickness 80, so they are really quick, but have no lateral speed... Which is in most cases basically the same thing...
For example with a top20 pick I found the following gem hidden in the "late first round picks"... He was a shooting guard and 6'7" tall, which promised good. He had excellent marks on his shooting (FG90 and 3PT 92) and was pretty athletic too, but he had 35 on offensive awereness. I just couldn't miss with the guy, but the AI simulation only score about 20 points with the guy when I scored usually around 30. He just couldn't miss anything... Fadeaways from all over the court were dropping like flies... With that guy, I could play like Kobe and TMac do in real life, dominate...
This should be fixed to get better results on the extreme levels, but I can live with the rookies that do come out of the draft... You just have to get by with what you've got. The draft is better than before in Live 2005, I just hope 06 will be even better. This too is a fact that we know very little about at this stage of the wait.

Yeah I hope they improve the draft rookies and ratings. Plus, on two of the screenshots of the Dynasty story, I saw Jerome James with 5 blocks and Marbury with 4 steals on 5 min quarters.

Time to fix the block and steal slider when I get the game.

I want a challenge this year in NBA Live 06.

Oh I forgot to post this..but if you notice they didn't think up a whole new coor and menu. It's just the color of the NBA All-Star menu..
