In Live 2005, you know how if you pass it down low, the big guy often jumps like 10 feet away to catch it for some reason, was there any of these unnatural animations when a player received a pass?
is the blocking the same as nba live 05 and hows the lay ups looks or whatmvpofthegame wrote:1st off..
the demo is obviously from a much older build. not only because the rosters are inaccurate as of now but so are the ratings. as seen on the new Live pics from dynasty mode Dwyane Wade is rated 92 or 93... in the demo hes rated 78 or somethin like that. was in a hurry but i'm positive it was in the 76-79 range.
anyways, when i started someone had left it on Spurs vs. Pistons and i played that for a few mins.. it was on starter i later noticed. was a slow tempo (slower than Live 05 IMO)
the freestyle moves are going to take a while to get used to minus the power player ones. because using L1 isn't exactly the most conveniant button when your holding turbo and running a fast break or whatever. so i didnt really do a lotta freestyle moves, though i tried a few of the new shots with Ginobili nice touches, even though i missed them because someone was all over me.
anyways i wanted to play a uptempo game so i quit and got the Heat vs Suns and put it on all-star.
got out to a 14-0 lead, lol Suns defense is just like real life, weakkkk. 10 times worse than the defense i saw the Pistons play ON STARTER lol.
i teabagged Nash with Dwyane Wade, who had two nasty facials, the other on Amare. the Dunks are AMAZING. so dope!
also, nobody has mentioned the new animation where the offensive player swivels through the defense, its a great touch, believe me.
the most exciting play i did was actually a layup.. boring huh? well not really, it was an incredible reverse layup, animation was PERFECT, as a matter a fact i dont recall seeing the one i did @ all on the IGN vids. i was like damnnn! when it happened.
as far as bad things.. just one huge glitch in the demo was when the opposing PG (S. Nash) would bring the ball up, and then when u pressured him he would just keep walking backwards until he was out of bounds LoL.. but its just a demo so i'm sure it wont make the final game obviously.
the game really is different than '05, i've played '05 for months and it doesnt come close into capturing the realism 06 does.. the court spacing is way better.. you finally get rewarded for good passing! and if you throw a stupid pass you can COUNT ON it being a turnover.
if your currently a Live hater, all i ask is you go play the demo and give it a shot. ignore the annoying glitch i mentioned...
anyways i cant wait for the game, i wanted to jack the demo lol. anyways if anyone has specific questions about gameplay or anything that can be asked about a 5 min demo with no slider adjustments or camera changing.. go head. i'll answer 'em.

It was 4'th quarter and I was being pressured..I had just crossed halfcourt with Van Exel and I called a screen..so Randolph comes and sets a screen and just runs into me and keeps running and knocked me back like 5 yards and I got a backcourt violation. That's fucking gay...fixed!?!?
