More than likely there will be nothing of the sort in NBA Live...
I have a bad gut feeling that the dynasty mode will be pretty much the same as it was last time around.
And if you can get a player with 87 overall in that Madden Superstar mode, it does really suck... Where is the struggle, where is the difficulty in making a team when you already are superstar material? I would just make a really crappy player and try to go with that... But this is what we've been discussing about whenever this "take a player and follow his career"-mode has ever popped out... It's great when you are a superstar and are a factor in all the key plays, but when you are the 12th guy coming off the bench and get 2-3 minutes of playing time in a game, what does the mode have to offer then??? There needs to be a score of mini-games where you can gradually improve your player to facilitate a bad player in this mode. Playing for 4 minutes and watching for 44 minutes isn't my idea for a great fun while playing a CPU game... This is the biggest problem I see in this mode. The Madden "schedule" looked filled with different things, so it might work some how for a bad player, but I think most of it is concentrated on the gameplay and the fact that you get to play big minutes in each game... And for this mode, the player/team chemistry would have to be there, it would be mandatory. Also some way of forming good relationships with team mates and bad relationships in the locker room. So you'd play better with some guys and worse with others... And if you weren't liked too much in your team, you could go to the management and demand a way out.
But this won't be a problem in Live 06... They would have trumped on that horn so many times already that we would be sick of hearing about it instead of the Freestyle Superstars feature. As it would add so much more playability to the game than any gameplay element they could possibly concieve...
