Where DA HECK are the new Free Throws?

Seen the new videos from IGN?

Well in the IGN videos there were no free throws. In one video from GameSpot there was, although it was the opponent that was shooting.
We'll get to see the new free throw mechanism in not too long I don't think since there has already come out gameplay videos.

I wonder if this will force us to use a Dual Analog Controller for the PC, isn't it Analog controlled Free throws or something

I think the new mechanism is for xbox 360

Just another proof that we are judging this game way to early. This is still pre-beta version, without polish and - as it seems - without some features.

Hopefully they'll change the free throws because I can't stand the actual ones anymore.

If some of you HAVE NOTICED, the Referee's whistle is still unfixed. The sound of FOX 40 whistle is Crisp & high & I hope EA would fix that becu'z what they install is the old whistle.

I know that becu'z Im a part-time BASKETBALL OFFICIAL.

Maybe they removed the free throws this year to make room for the superstar passes.

on .org someone said its only for next gen and in some of the videos they do use the old free throw system

Yup, I've seen a video from the X-Box version in GameSpot and they use the current (and oh so dull) free throw system.

it is still in the making though so you can expect that to come later

Speaking of sounds, the only thing I really wish they would change is the end of quarter buzzers. During a game, when the shot clock expires, there is a 'buzz'. However, during timeouts, and when the actual game clock for that quarter hits 0, there is a 'horn'. It sounds similar to the horn in NBA Live right now for the timeouts and subbing. I always cringe when the game ends and I hear a short 'buzz', when I always recall the end of NBA games ending in a long horn... just my 2 cents..

OMG!!

I didnt mind the old free throw system. It was in front of the crowd (god i wish they had espn's detail of having those flexable glow sticks that put you off) and some stadiums would have a light directly over the square of where you had to hit. While thats somewhat unrealistic, it compensated for other factors that influence shooting on the road and home court advantage.

They should change the stadium music, or at least allow us to change them.

Yes... because Gameplay doesn't matter as long as we have better ref whistles and ditties.

Jowe...always so pessimistic. Cheer up, you know you're gonna be playing the game anyways whether you buy it or download it...
