There are eight different classes of freestyle superstar in the game, six on offense, and two on defense. These are: playmakers, power players, high fliers, shooters, and inside or outside scorers. Defensively, the game classifies inside and outside stoppers. Two-way players like Kobe Bryant will have both offensive and defensive superstar capability. But each player can only have one type of superstar controls on each side of the ball. Using Bryant again as an example, he’s classified as an outside scorer on offense, though many would say he also has the characteristics of a high flyer. If you prefer to classify Bryant as a high flyer, you can do that in the settings since his stats reflect that ability. However, you can’t take a superstar (but one-dimensional) shooter like Kyle Korver and turn him into a playmaker, because he doesn’t have the offensive awareness or the handles for that role.

The Xbox version of the game will also offer 720p high-definition resolution. The PS2 version of the game won't have that level of detail, but a full copy of the classic NBA Live 95 will be available in that version of the game
LOL, thats encouraging.... it's like saying "Hey, sorry PS2, we can't give you sweet ass high definition graphics, but here, have NBA Live 95"

hey..

I thought they said there'll be a new FT shooting system rather than the old T-bar, but check out the Gameplay1 video, Dwayne Wade gets fouled and the FT Shooting is the same as in 06

They are doing the same for nhl 06. They are including nhl 97, whom many people consider one of the most perfect games they've made..
Same could be said about live 95 i guess, it was fun, the computer didn't cheat... there were fast breaks.. and realistic scores...

I saw footage of Live 06 on the PSP while watching Electric Playground on G4.
The Menu Screens looks spiffy.

Not impressed by anything yet, all I'm seeing right now is that a lot of slider changes will be needed...
