Live 06 might hurt EA this year....

Postby NBAFAN2005 on Thu Jul 07, 2005 3:21 am

I was just thinking, since 2k sports main game this year is going to be the NBA 2k series, they're more than likely going to put in the same effort that EA puts into their madden. I have a feeling 2k might put out something interesting this year, that will really be crammed with features and depth. This might just be the madden of basketball games. What do you guys think?

As long as 2k ignores the PC market, they will always be a lesser product. Why do you think you never see www.nba-2k.com?, any patching or edidting comunities?. Even the next gen consoles with hard drives aren't equiped to allow the amount of customization that I, and many others on this board, are acustomed to.

Even with all the graphical customization we have the console games have just as much gameplay customization.....and frankly that is all I care about.

From what i have read at operation sports some of the producers and programmers from NBA Inside Drive 2004 are on the 2ksports team. For those who havn't played NBA ID 2004 it was by far the most in depth basketball game I have played.

On my anticipation scale Live is ranked #3 because I doubt the guts of the game has changed.
#1 2k6 2k sports
#2 NBA 06 sony
#3 NBA Live

Unless there is some type of coaching strategy for Live I doubt I will even fork over the money for it....
