Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

Why has NBA Live's programming team failed to introduce a sign-and-trade option to the Live Dynasty Mode's offseason? Hypothetically, doing so would address the unrealistic free agent signings/franchise salary cap dilemmas from which the Live series has suffered since 2000. What's the hold-up?
Can we expect a sign-and-trade option in Live 2006? Thanks.

I think it's one of those things we'll see with the further development of the new Dynasty Mode. I agree it's something that would make Dynasty Mode a lot better.

the best we can do now is sign a player in the free agent pool...add him up to the tradable player prospects...that's pretty much it......but having that feature is a sure winner.....

The Dynasty User [Live '05] can trade draft picks now, right?

It is possible, though it's often hard to get the CPU to accept them. We can't trade picks a few seasons ahead though; only in the upcoming draft.

I think that I will continue to wait for EA to evolve the Live series, working toward a more seamless fusion of realistic gameplay/franchise simulation/user options before investing in the games again. Seems each year that Live takes a step or two forward relative to graphics, a full step backwards relative to realistic gameplay, and a 1/4-1/2 forward toward full-scale franchise/managerial options. Not to mention the fact that EA seemed to purposefully take ten yards worth of backwards steps (relative to in-game user options) five years ago.
Perhaps EA'll get it right circa the Live 20-X edition. I'll only be 39 by then. LOL.
