Carolus thread: xstartup.cfg discoveries, some extra stuff

Thu Jan 05, 2017 1:11 pm

Hi all,

Recently I inserted the following command into the xstartup.cfg file (main/cscripts):

Code:
ai_teampracticemode 1

Here's the result:

phpBB [video]

And I'm not sure if you can notice it (video quality isn't the best), but there are 6 players on Pistons' bench (one of them sitting on the floor). I created a render.cfg and inserted the following command:

Code:
r_numPlayersPerBench 6

And voilà.

I also uploaded a scenario.bin file which enables two-man in and outside stopper anims to be performed by any player (as the regular blocks and steals). I also want to insert the two-man dunks somehow, but I am not sure if it's possible. Take a look:

Two-man stopper anims for every player

If you notice any bugs or have any questions, make sure to post them here. Thanks!

Interesting stuff! Sounds like it might be worth messing around with some commands.

Were these discovered back in 2004-05-06?

If not, this look sweet

There are a bunch of commands within the exe file, sometimes even with descriptions:

Code:
ai_playerheight . Sets player height to always be the given number (inches). (0 is off, AVG_PLAYERHEIGHT is 79)

I think this one doesn't work by the way. I mean, I tried 50 inches and it didn't work. hehe

It used to work until 2003-2004 (I guess), but those commands were activated during gameplay by a console. From 2005 onward this console function was taken out, so we couldn't do it. Then there's this startup file, which acts as a console. The only difference is that you have to close the game each time you input a new command, and you input commands using a notepad.

Seems it's worth exploring the .exe file.
