Hey guys, Clutch here; haven't posted in ages (crazy life) but have been recently managing a game of live 06 once in a while. Now unless I'm doing something wrong with the PC proj install patch, I noticed that Pau Gasol still looks like a college kid rookie (clean shaven). This bugged me so I did my own frankenstein version using the orig headshape and pieces of other players (Tskitishvili's forehead, Havlicek's hair - no joke) along w/some photoshop and have come up w/this version; not perfect, but in game "feels" much more like Pau than the current Mr.Clean:

I also edited the Appearance.dbf changing his Color, Body Type and Muscle Texture to: (0-0-0) for a more accurate look in physique

Anyway, ran "grizzly" Gasol by Andrew who suggested I see what you guys think; if it's a go, I can make him available

just 1) extract the files from the attached zip to the "sgsm" folder; 2) now you need to remove either the "-light" or "-dark" from ONE (1) of the .fsh files by renaming it without the suffix but keeping the ".fsh" at the end

in my game i've .dbf edited Pau to look paler, thinner and without muscle texture so the "-light" version works great; but I think the default Pau body texture is slightly darker, medium build and cut muscle definition so I've tweaked a "-dark" version to match better (the "-light" or "-dark" at the end simply makes it unreadable since the computer is only looking for and will recognize the file "pagasol.fsh")

thx conrad; i'd be all over the '09 rooks if someone figured out how to convert .ebo files to maya-friendly files and back again. i tooled around with the current ebo editor for a good 45 mins or so only to have it suddenly crash and erase what little (if any) progress i had made on a Blake Griffin attempt; not to offend the gent who wrote it, but it's archaic and painfully cumbersome as a modelling/texturing tool

at best, texture swaps onto pre-existing assets is about the most i've got time for without receiving a regular paycheck from EA

lol sounds good dude.i would think texture swaps on current headshapes would be good enough for inclusion in 'Drew's next version of NBA Live PC. you can always go back and make the 'perfect' CFs after a workable roster is available

I'm still thinking of the best way to get all the rookies in all the rosters for 2005 through 08. Conversions should be a little easier this time around now that I've got a lot of batch files in place, guess I might have to work backwards from 08 again and just use the batch files to fix up shoes and the like. In any case, I'll figure it out and get them all out to the public.

Aware of some texture stretching and hard shadows needing some lovin'; can't do much about the head shape as it hangs the ebo editor (would've liked to elongate it just a bit, bring the eyes closer together and lips in) but all n' all, not bad. thoughts? worth finishing? Also, disregard the body tatts (they're zach's)
