speech id's

does anyone have a list of speech id's for coaches?

terry porter,hubie brown,paul silas,spudd webb and others have .viv files in my 06 sgsm but i can't find a source to their speech id's.

if anyone knows them, or atleast some of them who were not official coaches but are coaches, post them here. thanks.

If you've got any of the older Lives, take a look in coaches.dbf to find their ID numbers. The same can be done for players by looking at old players.dbf files.

Paul Silas: 8031
Terry Porter: 8061
Hubie Brown: 8052

yeah, unfortunately this is the oldest live i have so i wasn't able to find source for it.. thanks for the find andrew..

but hey, can someone drop the coaches.dbf files from older lives so that i wouldn't ask them one by one and look em up myself.. the oldest live i have is 06.. so i have other coaches.viv files in the sgsm folder but i don't know who they are and what their speech id's are.

and also, is it possible to assign player speech id's to coaches speech id in dbf?

Download here. The only games to include coaches.dbf before NBA Live 06 were NBA Live 2003, 2004 and 2005. All are included.

I've created some players and would like to assign speech IDs to them. Does anyone have speech ID's for the following players:

1. Horace Grant
2. Bill Cartwright
3. Jud Buechler
4. John Paxson
5. B.J Armstrong
6. Luc Longley
7. Bill Wennington

Horace Grant - 168
Bill Cartwright - none
Jud Buechler - 208
John Paxson - none
BJ Armstrong - 32
Luc Longley - 242
Bill Wennington - 31

Probably most of them won't work in 06.

But you can try to create a custom speech ID for Live 06. Here you have a tutorial.

Any players who didn't appear in the default rosters of NBA Live 2005 or later generally don't have working SPEECHIDs.

So only Grant's will work. He was in Live 2005, I think.

He was indeed, so his SPEECHID is likely the only one that will work.

Sorry guys, is there a speech ID for Ron Harper?

You can try 298, but for 99% it won't work.

I'm pretty sure that one hasn't worked since NBA Live 2005. I remember creating the 96 Bulls when Glen released his retro face packs and Harper wasn't called by his name when I updated his SPEECHID.

Thanks guys! I did put the assigned speech IDs to the respective players and as Andrew has kindly highlighted, only Horace Grant's name was announced when he scored.
