Spree's Current Rosters v2 (19.09) - released!

Features of update v1 (18thApril):

rosters current for 18 April 2008
very detailed ratings for every NBA player
players are 2 years older for current age in dynasty
added some legends to the decade all-star teams and also many to the Legends Pool
07-08 lineups for ASG and Rookie Challenge
updated coaches and team records
updated salaries for current
new primacy ratings

It was a lot of work and I hope you will like it. These rosters are a port of my 1.2 release for Live 08. You can check the thread by clicking the link in my signature.

Package doesn't include any art. So where can you get it? Portraits can be taken from updates for Live 08, 07 and 2005 also - they're compatible. You can also play on face patches made for Live 07/08 but only extract .fsh files to your sgsm in Live 06 directory. Leave the .ebo files, cause it will result in a crash.

Note: my roster for Live 08 includes Maek's fatigue fix and I didn't have time to make new stamina ratings to make them higher or lower for each player, so I'd suggest lower the fatigue effect slider when playing my roster, cause stamina ratings are low. Maybe I'll release an update for this later.

v2 (19th September):

the update offers current squads of NBA teams (for 19th September) with very big free agents pool with better decade all-star teams and actual All-Star lineups. A few players can be missing like some undrafted rookie etc, but there shouldn't be many missing players, because the update includes all 60 draftees and other players that were signed in this offseason.

I updated the contracts, but some of them may not fully match to real life, specially those signed recently, because the deals of the contract weren't always disclosed.

I also fixed the stamina ratings for the ability to keep players that play big minutes in real life (like Iverson) long on the floor. However, route that I took while updating stamina ratings resulted in pretty low ratings for players that play short time in real life, so I suggest to use about 40 fatigue effect slider while playing long quarters using this roster.

No more crashes in dynasty. I wasn't able to figure out what was causing that damn crash after 1st dynasty season with my previous release, so with this one I just converted my rosters for Live 08 and everything works fine with all modes. The dunk packages can be a little strange though... but generally they should be ok and I had no time to correct them for all players.

Again, no art in the package at all, so search around the forum and download faces and portraits for all the players with pink faces (from 07 and 08 also, they're compatible except the hair .ebo files) and paste them into your sgsm folder. Easier way would be to download a sgsm pack, if someone released one.

While making ratings for rookies I used some of ratings that Andrew has released, because I don't know too much about the NCAA.

Players are 3 years older in this update and that results in current age in dynasty mode for all of them.

Some players have pink shoes, but I didn't really have time to fix all of them - if someone wants to, open appearance.dbf file from save folder with my roster with DB Commander, find IDs of the players with pink shoes (take them from players.dbf file) and put 0 in fields "HOMESHOE" and "AWAYSHOE".

does this roster work after the post season of a year in dynasty mode?

It should, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll check it.

edit: game is crashing while the training camp is simulating but I think it's not fault of my roster cause I tried on 3 different rosters and all with the same result. I don't have any idea what's going on, I'll make a topic in patching help section, hope someone knows how to solve this.

yeah right the game crash when you simulate in training camp...hope it can be fix..thanks anyway for the effort Spree#8..

birthtown.dbf and birthstate.dbf are two notorious culprits when it comes to the training camp crashes. If you haven't already, try replacing them with the default NBA Live 06 files.

thanks andrew...i was able to get through the training camp simulation now..i just replaced the birthtown.dbf and birthstate.dbf with the default NBA Live 06 files..
the problem now is some of the players in this rosters have no cyberfaces..where can i get them?thanks for the assistance...

You might want to check out Remix's thread for some art updates.

In the originaldb folder. After that it works, no crashes during training camp.

Based on Spree's previous post, it appears restoring the default birthtown.dbf and birthstate.dbf files did the trick.

Try deleting originaldb and workingdb folders from my documents -> NBA Live 06 -> database. If that won't help, I don't know what to do.

^^bro, what do you mean by UPDATES? Is it the ROSTER UPDATE for 2007, 2008 and 2005? sorry Im a noob. lol! Nice roster by the way!

Some roster updates contain art files which you can use with NBA Live 06, otherwise you can download individually released updates and use them.

This roster update is for 06.

I meant art updates (cyberfaces, portraits) in my previous post.

I got it bros. tnx again! But I have 1 more question, what is the file name for the art file that I'm going to extract in the SGSM folder?

Most of the face updates are distributed as seperate files (.fsh files containing the face art and .ebo files, which are the headshape files). Only use the .fsh files, not the .ebo files.

Thank you very much Andrew and Spree. I'm just going to copy the .fsh files from the 2008 roster since its very much updated. In the first post, Spree said that the .fsh files are still compatible with 2006 ryt? man, i hate seeing players withe same faces especially the created ones. lol

Should be fine, though NBA Live 07 and NBA Live 08's face files do use an alpha for the game's lighting while NBA Live 06 does not, so while the game won't crash the faces might look a little strange.
