Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

I just ended my Lakers Dynasty and JaoSming helped me restart my 2030 dynasty and do it again this time back in 2005.
However, to continue the legacy of my retiring players (averaging age 32), I wanted them to retain the same age as when we ended the Dynasty. So I went to edit birthyear minus 25 years. Otherwise, my players were still infants at age 0 or 1. However, when I started fresh Dynasty with the loaded rosters, the system crashed. Error is something about "codebase error appearance".
What wrong with the roster? Here's the link in case anyone wants to see for themselves:

That usually occurs when one or more dbf files have been corrupted. Which program did you use to edit the databases?

I used DB Commander. Just went inside, change the birtyear to 25 years earlier, then it crashed. I painstakingly changed around 600 players

That's odd, DB Commander is usually very stable when it comes to work with DBF files. That error message usually suggests a corruption though.

I really don't know what it is. Maybe because I included the future draft picks? It's a roster file so whatever players are on the draft from the 2030 dynasty file, are not supposed to appear in the new Dynasty in 2005... as the PC creates a new batch of players...
I'll retry to edit active rosters only. Then we'll see.

That's a possibility. Did you make any other changes apart from simply changing player data, such as adding a new row/entry to the database or attempt to import data from another database?

Hi Andrew sorry for the tardy update.
I successfully transitioned the year 2030 dynasty rosters into a new batch of year 2005 dynasty. I just deleted the entire rows of the carryover draftees and then, changed the birthyear of the active team rosters minus 25 years. So I am now back in business

No worries, glad to hear you got it working.

you'll have errors in dbf if you put uncompatible or incorrect values on it...maybe you had something wrong
