newbie needs help

wot up community ive been searching threads trying to find the answers to my questions. nba live 06 is my first cpu game and ive been stuck for da last 2hrs trying to figure things out so please be gentle as i know its frowned upon to not put effort in to finding answers. i need to know how to install the roster patches to make them work for me ive tried and have failed miserably. secondly can i also install roster patches for live 05 or 04 to work on live 06 as i see some old rosters were made likie the 95-96 season etc were made for the older versions of live i would like much to play these on da 06 version if possible. and last but not least i have a logitech controller im using for this game but cant get it to respond to the game so i havent even played the game yet cause i cant witout a control any help would be appreciated thanks

1)well get a screenshot of what the problem is when you try to install the roster patch.
2)no i dont think so.
3)you need to configure your controller controls first, then when you are playing at the screen where you choose what team you are, you must click on the controller icon thing and choose the controller profile.

when it comes to the roster patches i was told i was supposed to download them into the sgms folder of nba live is that correct

ok i figured out da ctrls now all i need is 2 figure out the roster dwlds and im good

well what is the problem you are having?
it depends what rosters you are trying to download. if you are trying to download the official NLSC0506 roster patch by andrew it has an installer.
but if you get a rar or zip file and its ROSTERS you gotta put the folder with all the dbf files into your My Documents\NBA Live 06\saves\folder

do i have to unzip them once i put them there

im just trying to dwnld the 98 and 01 rosters

yes, you have to unzip them, or else they still in a zip file and they are no use
