DBCommander saving

Thu Jun 29, 2006 9:04 pm

I'm having problems with my ratings sticking around with the players.dbf file, using DBCommander.

Here's an overview of my problem: Let's say I want to give Kobe Bryant an 85 rating for inside scoring. So I go to my trusty DBCommander and enter in the value of 85 for BOTH entries of Kobe Bryant. Then when I exit DBCommander and go back into it, the entries reset to what they were originally.

I had been doing things like this for about 5 days now, and now is the first day with a problem, it had worked before flawlessly.

The specs don't matter at all, but:

Intel P4 3.0 GHz Socket 438
2 GB RAM
100 GB Maxtor Harddrive @ 7,200 RPM
Winfast 6600 GeForce, AGP 4/8x
Gigabyte GA-81PE1000G Pro Motherboard
500 Watt Antec Power Supply

Thanks for any help.[/i]

In your dynasty, there are 2 entries for each player on your team. Did you change it for both? Also, there is a save button in .dbf commander. Make sure to use it before exiting.

STDSkillz, your user name is funny. I just had to point that out.

Anyway, I have nothing useful to say that T-Wave didn't say. Edit both entries and make sure you hit the save button.

Haha, thanks Donatello, and thanks for the comments guys.

Yup, like I said, I edited both entries and did everything I way I did it before which used to work fine...Can't understand why it doesn't work now, though.

But alas, I just switched to a program called DBFView. Works fine and I think I may even like it better. Thanks for your feedback, guys.

Peace
