do you guys think it will ever happen?

Do you guys think nba live will have some pre-game show? so instead of loading, you will see charles barkley and the rest of the guys on tnt critisizing the teams that will be playing... Or maybe compare player to player and maybe show some highlight videos of their recent franchise/dynasty games....or Even a half time report game, where they also show highligh video of the game. Like maybe show the blocks, steals, play by play they use, hot/cold steaks, etc... In other words = highlight video replays for pre/post/halftime show report with commentary. I think it will make the game a little interesting and realistic.

Anyone feel me??

Perhaps one day, though I personally think I'd end up skipping it after a while.

2k6 has most of that crap already, im hoping theyll do that for nba live 07, and ya the pre game thing would get boring fast, but w/e its better than what live has now

they kinda did it in NCAA March Madness 2005

ps2 had only a screenshot of the play of the half / game
but i think the xbox version had a full video of the play


Seems like marchmadness is a "testing ground" for the next nba live....
MM 2003 had diving and changing your shot in mid air which NBA 2004 had
MM 04 had create a team....o wait nvm
and MM 05 had that half time thing, but i dont think it got implemented in 06 because it wasn't too popular

I think for NBA 07 we'll see some sort of D-up Stick or some new post play
or possibly some mash-up of the "Senior Players" and FSS

yeah 2k6 has that and i reckon it's great-Live will probably end up copying it yes

Why bother with that stupid shit that no one will watch after the first few times, when there are so many gameplay improvements that need fixing first?

I personally wouldnt mind it. I still watch the opening scenes in Season mode, ebvery now and then I skip it though. I remember when I was younger I used to tape games I played and try to make it look authentic so I could sit down and watch it later (yup, no pausing or any of that crap, only halftime messed it up really). If this was added then maybe I would start doing that again.

pre-game shows might get sort of repetitive with the guys saying the same 50 lines over and over again. it adds to realism, however, so it could be useful.

that be nice, but as stated before, i'd probaby feel that its repeative again just skip to the game.

It get broing after the first one... and I was playing on my mate's game and i had Shaq on the Sixers and they were saying how Shaq would be important to the Lakers' win...

What happens in 2k6?

Is it just like in 2k5 how Stuart Scott talks about a certain player while its loading, then before the game the commentators talk about a player on each team?

They have something like that in NCAA football 06. They show Brad Nessler, Kirk Herbstreet, and Lee Corso and show Lee pick the winner by putting the mascot's mask on. Kind of cool, but unnessecary

I really enjoyed the presentation of Live '98 (if i remember correctly...). When loading a game there was a photo of the city, and in the first screen there was a line with some players stats...really don't know why EA changed that....

They really should add like a Lockdown Stick or something to make the game more realistic .... There's no such a thing as defense in NBA Live 06 besides the ridiculous amount of steals that you can get. So i believe that the addition of Lockdown Stick would be great.
