Rosters online?

I've only recently started to play NBA live online.......... and it's great.

One thing frustrates me though, the outdated rosters. I don't want to play with my hawks, because they suck even more with the old roster than they do now.....

but yesterday i played against someone, PHO vs DET and the rosters were very up to date, how did this happen, or how can i make this happen when i play online?

I think you can update the OriginalDBF files with new ones (both players would need to have the same), but I don't know for sure. Andrew will know.

you can use rosters patches online if your the home team. just downlaod andrew's roster patch and you should have up to date rosters and if you host online you can use them.

Sorry, didn't get online yesterday so didn't see this until now. As it happens, I'm not really an expert on online play so probably best not to ask me. I know people have also replaced the files in originaldb with the updated roster files with some success. There's a stickied step-by-step on that in the NBA Live 2005 section (the NLSC updates board), I'd assume the procedure works this year as well.

yea dude this is what you do. take the players.dbf file and move it into all the nba live my documents database folders. IM ONLINE MODE KING

This roster thing was REALLY frustrating me, because the other day i played this guy, CAVS vs HEAT. due to his rosters,

HEAT LINEUP:
Zo
Haslem
Posey
Wade
Williams

CAVS LINEUP:
Shaq
Garnett
Lebron
Kobe
Nash

Ridiculuos. I kicked his ass though, with J. Will alone, he plays no D, but next game, the one that sent me into a fit of rage. SUNS vs SONICS. In his lineup he had changed the ratings so ALL of the sonics were shooters (yes, Fortson, Collison as well) and ALL were inside stoppers (yes, Ridnour as well).

So regardless of how well I played, he just shot 3 after 3 and kept blocking Amare's dunks using Luke Ridnour.

Sorry, had to vent there, I always try to play clean online, and never quit, things like this give me the........

yea man i hate those people that cheat online thats why i hardly ever play

never join a game online. only host. that way your rosters get used.

yea i always host but some people error and it doesnt matta who hosts. also, some people lag on purpose. i hate cheaters
