Fastest way to load the game

I've been wondering, would the game run faster if I import the files I have in my sgsm folder ? Although I know it's easier and faster to install patches when I drop the files in the sgsm folder, I'd like to know that, because maybe it'll be faster...

I think if the patch has the same dimensions as that of the original file, it'll be the same. But, as many patches ads extra resolutions, it's bound to run a bit choppier if you're using a fare share of patches... I definitely noticed a difference after re-installing the game, though playing with patches makes up for that many times over in my opinion.

you can also skip the intro by changing the name of the movies folder to something else so you wont have to see the boring intro at the start
