A. McKie and how to get rid of him !?

Hi Andrew, hi everyone,

well, as you can see I got a problem with the Atlanta Hawks roster in my running season. After I did some players.dbf editing I realized I had a triplication of Aaron McKie in the game.

I guess it must have been caused by adding just accidentally two new empty lines at the end of the players.dbf by pushing 'enter' way too quick - my mistake. I erased those two lines in the players.dbf but to no avail - McKie stayed there.

Strange thing is that when I try to release those two clones from the roster nothing happens and instead McKie is released on the Lakers roster ?!

So far so bad - what I also tried was going back to the players.dbf and changing the other Hawks players' roster positions to consecutive numbers starting with 0 (Z.Pachulia) to 12 (A.Harrington who is currently injured in my season). But unfortunatly game recalculates the roster to those strange roster positions as you can see above.

Just to let you know there is only one A.McKie in the players.dbf not three and there is only one '0' in the appearance.dbf for McKie so I just don't know where the hell those two come from.

I ought to say that game doesn't crash when I play with Atlanta and McKie never appears ingame - but it really sucks ignoring him the whole time.

So I hope anyone experienced same problem and can give a hint on how to get rid of this.

Otherwise thanks for any kind of help !

Sorry, my only advice would be to restore from a backup. Usually when dbfs mess up like that it's impossible to get them back the way they were.

Ah OK. That's what I fear most.
Thought there might be a opportunity I overlooked or something...

So if someone...

Thanks anyway and big up for your roster patches.
