Installing Error

Hey,
I recently bought NBA Live 2006 for the PC, but I have problems installing it. Everytime I try to install I get a message...

It's always at 52% when it says it failed to copy the file. I clicked retry several times but no good...
System specs:
Intel Pentium 4, 2.66 Ghz
512 MB's memory
ATI Radeon 9000, 128 MB

Well, after a read in the manual I found out I have to download firmware or something. I searched my ass off on the internet for the firmware for my DVD-rom, but I cant find it!
My type:

firmware won't fix it, i'm pretty sure the cd is damaged, return it to the store.

Oh ok, thanks, I didn't get that whole firmware stuff anyway.
Will return it and ask for a new copy.
