How to open the *.dbf files without using Shareware

I don't know if this is already known, but you can open the *.dbf files with the freeware OpenOffice, so you don't need to buy expensive programs!

joejam999: I'm using a program called DBF Viewer 2000. It lets you insert, copy, paste full records/lines. (y)
The only bad thing about the program as I see it is that you have to bring up a new window when you want to edit something.
