Jumping a BIG deal with rebounding?

Thu Dec 08, 2005 10:33 pm

Has anyone else noticed that the jump rating seems to have a massive effect on how well someone can rebound? (while playing, not simming)

Eg. With Bogut, I get hardly any rebounds and the opposition gets seemingly unlimited offensive boards.
Boguts jump rating is 46, and defensive rebound is 84.
With Villaneuva, he owns the defensive boards yet has only 65 defensive rbd rating, and is 65-70 jump.

So yeh, while trading for your next Rebounding machine, think about that...

not even rebounding, blocking also need a gd jumping skills
I get frustrated that becoz of their low jumping rating make block shots and rebounding hard a lot
So my big men usually get >70 jumping to block shots or get rebounds.

In my team, Jason Richardson keeps blocking shots (his block rating is 14) =.=
(I get a fewer rebounds than block shots)

Not even the jump rating...the game is just bad with reb as we already discussed like a million time.

yes, but jumping is the biggest deal

I have bogut and al harringtion. harrignton's rebounding ratings are much lower however he has a high jum rating. he is much much better on the glass. that is why the cpu gets so many offensive boards. if you have a PF or C with high jumping you can probably control it. the CPu also seems to give all ORBs a jump boost so they soar to the basket. often i get the rebound but the offensive guy will knock my guy out fo bounds for a turnover.

i do think rebounding ratings do have an affect on the jump and miss the ball thing.

i increase human ORB to 80. this just seems to give me normal numbers. at first i thought human was broken but not so.
