A little help here

Hellow, I´m not sure if I´m posting this on the right section, so I apologize if it´s in the wrong part of the forum...

I have a AMD SEMPRON 2400+ 1.67GHZ, 512 RAM, 40gb HD, and a Nvidia Gforce 4 MX 4000, 64Mb...

I wish to buy Live 06, but I´m sure that my video card won´t handle it, It can barely handle live 2005...

So here´s my options till now

Radeon ATI 9600 PRO 256, and Nvidia Gforce 5200...

If anyone can recommend me a few better ones, not too expensive, just enough to run live 05 and 06 at max ehehhehehehehe

and please, what is Gforce FX??? is it good?

I was doing a little research and I read in a couple of places that the ATI RADEON 9600 PRO 128 is better than the ATI RADEON 9600 PRO 256, can anyone confirm that please?

that is possible depending on the brand of the card. some 128mb versions have faster memory.

difference is hardly noticable though afaik.

GET THE 9600!!!!! Do NOT,I repeat NOT!!! get the geforce 5200. You can mod a 9600 pro to a 9600xt if I am not mistaken. DO NOT GET A GEFORCE FX!!!!!!! If you're still not sure go to guru3d.com and search the forums for 9600 pro and 9600 xt mod. ati 9600 owns a nvidia 5200. However, you may be able to get a geforce 6600 for cheap or an x800 pro or x700. I think even a 128 mb ati 9800 may run live on max.
