fsh file problem please help

I came across this patch sote and i wanted to learn to do a few myself but i am having a problem. i have read al ot of tutorials already and have found all of them very useful. My problem is when I extract the fsh file and then try to open it wuth fshed it says The fiel you are attempting to open is not a valid Electonic Arts shp file and then it says access violation at adress 00000002. It probably is a stupod question but what am i doing wrong? . I like to use photoshop and making patches would give me another hobby. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and i tired using fshx and it will extract the fsh files i downloaded from this site but when i try to extract from the players folder .viv files it says I may have a older version of fsh file, which actually it would be newer. So is there anyway to convert my 06 fsh files so they will be recognized by fshx's 05 fsh format? this is driving me nuts.

Use BigGUI to open the .viv files, then extract the .fsh file(s). Then use FshX to open that .fsh file, and then BigGUI to import it back to the .viv.

thanks for the advice. i'll try it. I just want to mess around and try to make a couple cyberfaces for the pistons, amir johnson and alex acker.

ok i tried that and i can oipen big files no prblem, but i cannot open the player face.viv files with it. I just want to get to the files with the face and eyes and shit so i can try a little photoshop on it.

Hmm, I think EAGraph can handle the face.viv. Try it and see if it works with that instead...

yes i tired eagraphics editor and it will extract the fsh files., but fshx will not recognize them and fshed will not recognize them. Am i somehow extracting them wrong, because there are 2 fsh files for example amjohs.fsh and then amjohnsr.fsh. I don't mnow what the hell is going on, but maybe i'll leave the patching to you guys. Maybe i'll just request a amir johnson and alex acker in the patch requests.

When extracting, it will ask you if you'd like to decompress it or not, you should choose yes. If you don't, FshX won't read it. I'm guessing that's where you got it wrong.

By the way, the one with r on the end is just for the reflection on the court...
