need help adding stats

well i created a new player and want to add stats for his previous missin years since very other player's old stats can be viewed.. ive registered him wid 5 years experience now i wanna add his old statz (for 2000 to 2005). i just thought it would be cool to see my created playerz statz from previous yearz. i wanna do this just 2 add realism to my game. how can this be done? i know i have 2 use ms office but details would be nice. thankz.

You need to edit career.dbf. Basically, all you need to do is add new entries. The stats fields are fairly easy to decipher (they're the same as the ones in players.dbf), just make sure you don't mess up the IDs. Each new entry in the dbf needs its own unique ID (the next available number) and the PLAYERID has to match the player you want to assign career stats to.

The best way of editing a roster is to save the rosters so that you can edit the dbfs in the appropriate save folder, then re-load the roster with the changes.

ok so i fill in da stats for my player. i added hiz player id and gave him da next number for hiz ID. now when i load my saved file I get da same blank stats for my player! wat da heck! wat am i doin wrong? i edited da career.dbf in my currentdb folder for my saved file. i dunt get this. somebody help plz!!!

Again, the best way is to save the roster and edit the dbf files in the appropriate save folder rather than currentdb etc; that way you can easily reload the files with the changes you've made.
