Does "ANYBODY" Play OFF BALL?

Sun Oct 23, 2005 12:31 pm

I see few topics on this subject, one of the most dynamic aspects of NBA Live with multiple options. I play off ball 3/4 of the offense.

But I need an answer. Urgently.... from the scientists here or EA Sports.

How do you call a pick for the off-ball Ballhandler?

Up D-Pad and Down D-Pad send a pick to the man you are controlling (which makes no sense). In previous years games D-pad sent a pick for the ball handler.

Is this a game defect?

Thanks

Well, sarcasm surely won't get you a response.
or EA Sports.

Neither from those guys. This community has been waiting for a response from them on a number of issues regarding Live. Still, no action/answer.

No sarcasm intended.... Just checking if I am missing something.A pick for the ball handler is essential to my overall strategy.

Did find and alternative...... but it takes practice:

1) Press off ball to light up the men
2) Dpad up - to call the pick
3) Switch to a player - the one giving the pick, or an outside shooter/slasher; preferably and outside shooter because the pick usually comes from the C or PF and you dont want to waste the milliseconds needed to determine which one is coming.

This is not what I am used to or want, but it lets me continue my off-ball exploits.

In 05, I abused the off-ball switch. Here in 06, you don't really have to exploit it cause the set plays free up your man...
