That first preview is looking great Though maybe tone it down on the face and fingers.
Are you planing on doing a patch out of these?


By the way, the floorboards doesn't match up, but they sure look purdy

Dunno, just getting bored so playing around. I even tried cartoon shading a whole team and stadium, looked ok

really nice..as andreas said..maybe lessen the effect of the sweat on jameer, ricky doesnt look sweaty..he looks like he has a major case of dry skin..but good job and smart thinkin

hehe, cool. Reminds me of a patch, I think it was for 2004, where everything was over-sharpened. Looked rather nice some times, but most of the times way to cartoony.

Thing is, you have to give up the zoomed in looking good. By this I mean, to make pretty much anything look visibily good in the gameplay camera, you have to really exaggerate it which makes the close up shots look strange.

That's right. But the sucky camera's in Live never show the action from a decent angle so to make it look decent from those sucky views, it has to look exaggerated, even strange or bad from close up.

The jerseys look good in real game cams though.

Nice attempts but for the hair, I suggest don't put any unless they got long hair (Manu, Nash) since if you put sweat on cornrows it shines.

I didn't put it on the hair. And the Davis cornrows are an actual photo at the res of about 2000x2000

And as for the faces, it's pointless unless you like looking at replays or taking screenshots because almost every detail is unseen during gameplay.

And yeah I could do it for every team and skin texture, but I've got a short attention span so I'm just playing and experimenting until I get something I like

I've done all the skin tones but I'm not happy with it yet, still tweaking.

As for the faces, have to do them individually...

And the sweaty jerseys... easy to add sweat but it looks crap on the default EA texture so I'm updating them all.

I work almost 50 hours a week around this time of the year so any progress is slow. I guess someone will take my idea for the jerseys and beat me too it anyway.

holly crap u got alot of work to do. I would like to help, but I don't understand anything in that editing and all that stuff. so take your time doing it, we'll be waiting for it no matter how long it will take

A combination of it for the body, yes.
The face is done by hand in PS.
Same with the Jersey.
