Anyone tried using 2005 patches on 06?

Fri Sep 23, 2005 6:59 am

Just wondering, since we can apparently use the same tools, if any of the 2005 patches will work for 06. It'll mean less work for those of us who patch if we don't have to convert our old 2005 patches to use with 06. Specifically, I want to know if my courts need to be converted. I should have my hands on the game next week, but I'm anxious to know now. If they are the same, I could start working on some 06 patches now.

Yeah... Ditto on that request... This question has been bugging me since day 1. Anyone that can answer this question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

Rosters definitely won't work as there's a couple of new fields in the dbf files.

That's understandable... But, has anyone tried dropping a few 2005 player.ebo files in the 2006 SGSM folder and seeing if they show up in the game? I'm grossly over simplifying, but I'm sure patchers get what I mean.

what new fields?

Can't remember offhand but Habbakuk told me about them and I had a quick look for myself. I'm not ready to go through and do the DBF editing guides just yet.

It seems that all cyberfaces NOT containing tats will work for 06. Which is really good news.

Hmm, how do you mean "cyberfaces containing tats". Every cyberface has same fsh.

Try fshline.

I just extract the fsh files with Eagraph and then use FSHx for the textures
