player names

when u create a player or draft a player i think in the gameplay they should say their name not their number like in nhl 2004 and i think 2005 when u make a player they give u a bunch of names to choose from and they will say ur created players name in the game and when u draft players they just say their name in the game i hope ea does that wit nba live 2006

They also have that in MVP Baseball 2005, even if ur name is Haba Haba it will pronuce the name.

this is easily one of the most annoying things about live. i always loved building my temas with young drafted rookies when i played madden, infact i would always trade away anyone i had to so i ended up with 13 first round picks at the end of season 1. in live i would like to build through the draft also but since it says the players number by season 3 or 4 i would be fed up from hearing nothing but 23 scores or 15 with the put back.

also the fact that still in live teams are so damn stingy with thier draft picks.

Yes they should make a large Name database so that drafted rookies will be announced by their names.

In 2000 we had that, why did they change it?

i can't recall having such feature in nba live 2000 but if it was there and then they remove it it was a huge mistake (another one to add to the in-game saving option removed, create a team option removed, etc...).
Anyway. even in my japanese version of the Winnig Eleven 8 Liveware Evolution I'm able to input how to pronounce a name by combining some phonetical icons. So it's not such a big deal, it's not they can't do it but they don't want to.

The feature was also in NBA Live 98, 99, and possibly a couple of the games between NBA Live 2000 and NBA Live 2004.

Sauru, to date, I still cannot get any computer to give up any draftpick, I've tried at various times during the season, and nothing works... do you have any suggestions? I could offer Shaq, Lebron and Garnett for a winning team's pick and they'd say no.

you know what, i also cannot get picks from computer teams. i want to build a team through the draft, by grabbing like 4 first round picks one season, but i cant. the computer wont give them up for anything. i mean right before the trading deadline they still say they are not ready to give up a draft pick yet? this is damn annoying imo lol.


btw i just wanna know why it is that live has to remove features? like mid game saves or players names being called? wtf kind of game actually removes shit? yeah remove all the little things that make a game way more enjoyable and instead give us a pro hop that lets us totally rape the computer. then fix that and give us another move that again lets us totally rape the computer. bastards lol

if u really want a 1st round good pick start ur dynasty wit the bucks and at the beginning of the season trade one of ur good centers that are around 60 for atlanta's 1st round pick and they will say yes cuz they need a center it worked for me and then u will have 2 good first round picks 1 from ur team and one from atlanta
