Rumour Mill...

Wed Jun 29, 2005 6:45 am

I think one thing, that if implemented into NBA Live '06, that would make help take it over the top would be a rumour mill. Kinda like Maddens newspapers. Put a player on the trading block, and the rumour mill reports that your team is shopping that player. If player morale was incorperated, it could even get that player upset and demand a trade... there could be so many possibilities if a rumour mill was incorporated. It could really help give that dynasty feeling, and that every decision you make as a GM matters. What do you guys think?

Rumour mill would be nice, but it would make the team Chemistry and player happiness stuff a must have too...

I'd love to see news about potential trades and guys low-balling their teams and demanding trades and what-ever... That would be nice, but again it ain't as easy as that to get all the stuff correctly in balance. And especially if it was made into a interactive one, so that you could respond to rumours about being intrested about a player, or a trade concerning your team... And could push the blame when the going gets rough.

I'd like to see guys like Rasheed Wallace etc. give out some trouble items in there too... So they'd make demands on starting or wanting to play more or less etc. etc. There are big egos in the game and a team can't handle too many big egos before it all comes crashing down.

Nice idea, though I think we're at least a couple of years away from that. First, NBA Live needs to implement a trading block feature and improve the trading logic so that the CPU seeks out deals and shops players in a realistic manner.
