Crash in Dynasty Mode...

Hi everybody

I need your help and advice to resolve my problem. I've a crash in Dynasty Mode in my first season (middle of season, just before the All Star week end) when i click on Coaching in Gm's Desk. Have you an idea about this problem, the reason and a solution?

Edit: When i click on an other section (scouting, trainers...), i can access after to Choaching but only my first ass. coach (i can select a player and set the coaching). But if i try to acces the second, i've the crash.

System : Win. XP SP3

You need to provide more details before we can help. Did you do any editing, install any patches... etc?

Yes, i install some patches and do some changes, a lot of, players (cyberfaces, portraits), rosters, players.dbf, appearence.dbf...
I can't give you all details, that will be so long. Sorry.

I don't have yet this problem in Season Mode.

Well, it's quite likely that some of your changes to the databases have caused the problem. Without more information about what you've changed I couldn't really suggest where to look but I would strongly suggest it's a database issue.

It's difficult to suggest what to do not knowing which changes you've made and finding someone else's database problems can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack at the best of times but for now I'd suggest starting a test Dynasty with the default roster and seeing if you still have problems. If not, then that will at least confirm that there's a problem with the files you were trying to use before. Perhaps then we can make some further suggestions.

Hi guys

Ok i understand. I'm going to try to list the changes.

I added some cyberfaces and portraits of players for NBA Live 06, 07 and 08. I don't think the problem comes from there, even i've few crashes in edit player. I use this roster patch but i've forgotten which one, sorry. I created only one player.
I installed the Practice court patch (v1.1) and NBA on TNT Mod.
I modified some informations in Players.dbf (position, salary, team) and in Appearance.dbf (size, shoes...). Nothing in coach.dbf.

I'll search in the next days the exact changes. Thanks for your help.

There could be some invalid values or a corruption in players.dbf and appearance.dbf. It's quite likely you'll need to restore from a backup or try using a different roster.

I did more simple. I reinstall NBA Live 06 in an other folder. I use your last update of PCLP. I can add my roster and the dynasty but i've just two little problems : pink shoes and parts of arena are pink too. With your roster, i don't have any problem. I'm going to test the different modes and parameters.

The NBA Live PC rosters don't utilise a shoe patch at this time so there shouldn't be any issues with art. If you've got a roster that has non-existent shoes assigned, you'll get the pink missing texture issues. If you've got some court patches that aren't 100% compatible with NBA Live 06 you'll also get some missing texture errors. None of the courts included in NBA Live PC should have that problem though.
