pink head problems

i see... it's troublesome to download one by one so i guess i will just ignore it and play with bunch of pink faces xP

found this post in one thread, so i thought i'd give you my trick on solving this without having to download all pink head players one by one.

copy the plyrface;plyrlodb;plyrlodc;plyrlodd files from players folder under sgsm of NBA Live 08(the reason is, it has most of the pink head players .fsh and .ebo files)

then paste it in your Live 06 players folder under sgsm. overwrite files.

i tried this to see if hair ebo's will work.., they didn't,but it didn't also cause any crashes(in 1 on 1 mode atleast). once the Live 08 players folder contents is in 06 sgsm, i think it should read the files and will remove the pink heads from the game.

***ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR FILES IN CASE ANYTHING GOES WRONG***

NOTE: players who are independently added to the game. e.g. Lance Allred. will still have pink faces because they were not originally in the game. download this files individually.

Nice idea. Didn't think of that.

You can also do that with the file plyrprts under NBA Live 08 -> fe directory and paste it into NBA Live 06 -> fe directory, overwrite of course and be sure to make a backup.

It will update player portraits, cause many is missing.

However note that Live 08 original portraits file doesn't include portraits of any rookies.

The NLSC updates for NBA Live 07 and NBA Live 08 contain portrait updates for all of the drafted rookies and a few who weren't (such as Jamario Moon), you could always download those to fill in the blanks.

I have already tried this and it really worked..tnx z_dize! But still most rookies have pink heads including Mario West, Gabe Pruitt, Jared Dudley, Ryan Hollins just to name a few. Could someone make cyberfaces for these players? please...! Other players have pink shoes too..

Why is it that Monta Ellis' name is being announced when he makes a basket while some sophomore players aren't? He wasn't originally included in the 2006 rosters right? I could be wrong though

Correct, he's not in the default rosters but he was a rookie in the 2006 season and as a result, a speech file exists for him in NBA Live 06's audio files.

Exactly, a few have been left in as easter eggs which we can take advantage of. Unfortunately, a lot of the speech files for veterans/Legends who haven't appeared in a game from NBA Live 2005 onwards are no longer available.

no prob. players you mentioned weren't probably in the original 2008 player list. So EA doesn't have CF's of them. You can download them individually though. try 4th-qtr.net.

with the pink shoes, just edit them with other shoes. i think the Real Shoe patch influences this as i have 'em installed in my pc but not on live 06 in particular.

Hollins is in the default rosters for NBA Live 08 but not NBA Live 06.

i was wondering, if i just put the sgsm files for the players from my 08 game into my 06 game sgsm folder, would that solve the problem and give the pink guys their cyberfaces back? if that could solve it then no downloading would be needed...

The face will but I don't think the .ebo(hair) from 08 will work for 06.

Hair .ebo won't work and can cause a crash. The other files you can copy.
