rookies short shorts

im playing nba live 06. i know its old but its better than 07 and i haven't bought 08 yet. so the problem is that after finishing a dynasty i noticed that my rookies have short shorts. i thought my rookies were the only ones but when i checked and played other teams, the rooks on my opponent's team also have short shorts.

any has an idea on how to fix this? suggestions?
