Learning and Work ethic

Postby Mike^ on Sat Sep 09, 2006 6:36 am

I stumbled upon these columns and tried to edit them. But didn't actually see any differences :) What are the highest values available (at WORKETHIC only saw around 4-5) and do they really work? And how :)

From Andrew's DBF guide:

LEARNING: Learning Attribute - used with Destiny to determine the likelihood a player will improve with training
WORKETHIC: Work Ethic Attribute - determines the likelihood a player will stay in shape as well as improve with training

I don't know what the values are, but I'm pretty sure lower is better.

And I'm going to see them in Toronto!

I really need to go through and update those guides.

Work Ethic appears to range from 0-3, 0 being the best and 3 being the worst. Learning appears to be a standard 0-99 rating, 0 being the worst and 99 being the best.

Hmm well i edited a player at 99 and he didn't improve any different than without it...If i recall, the game crashed as well (might be because i wrote 4 at Workethich though)...

I'd say so, the range is 0-3. A player also needs to have a good DESTINY rating otherwise he has less of a chance of developing into a significantly better player.

Destiny rating? What values can be placed there?

Im not sure if its exactly the same in 06, but for 2005, Destiny rating is for the chance or how much that player will improve each season. I think it ranged from 0-6, 0 being the best

Well I already saw 8 at Destiny at some players. And i don't understand, i created a player after the Shooter Template. After the first season, although he raised from 88 to 89, his Superstar Ability was gone. The third year, at the end of the season he went from 89 to 88...Now in the 4th year he's at 90...Is it because i trained him alot? Or why? His destiny is 7...Didn't change Learning nor WorkEthic.

Destiny ranges from 0 (Best) to 8 (Worst).
