Direct IP online game (problem)

Me and my friend, we both bought NBA Live 06. Now we tried to play the game via direct IP connection.

I created a game and he tried to join. But nothing happened. We tried this numerous times.

What I don´t understand is the fact, that the game shows a different IP than my "real" IP !?

Can anyone provide help to two german players ?

Go to www.whatismyip.com, that will give you your real IP.

There is text in the instruction manual that came with the game that tells you what ports you need to open, etc. Playing online won't work without changing some settings.

Do other online games work well? I had similar problems until I fixed my firewall settings.

I do have my real IP, but it´s different from the one shown at NBA Live 06.

Use your REAL IP, not the one NBA Live gives.
