Well the AI often Drafts Centers first and then PF's or PG's. Therefore there are often top rated Centers or PG's in Round two or Three (got Nowitzki or Nash in round 3). But the good SF's and SG's rarely slip into the second round.

For instance I drafted Shawn Marion in the first round. In the second round I could choose Bosh, Amare, D. Howard, Jamison etc. but nearly all good PG's where gone. This works also the other way round. When I drafted Ginobili first I could have chosen Nash in the second round, but the best PF available was A. Harrington.

So my draft choises are:
1st: A SG or SF (Ginobili, Marion, Pierce)
2nd: A PF who can play Center (Amare if he slids in, Howard or Bosh)
3rd: A PG (sometimes Parker is available and if you're lucky you get one like Nash)
4th: A PF (because all the good SF's are gone anyway) A Bogut type player or even better is available most of the time.
5th: A SG or SF
and as 6th man I nearly always draft Rafer Alston.

bosh, amare, and howard are usually the regular 2nd round type picks if you get a good 1st pick...

I cant say i've ever got some great steals. Once i had like the 13th pick and tmac was still around for some odd reason, but i dont think thats anything to brag about...

Hell nah I've NEVER got a steal like that before. In the season, I did happen to get a rookie ranked #20 as the 51st pick, but that's probably because I had switched him and somebody else in the DB COmmander and they probably still saw him as being ranked low.

ya i've got some good rookies, once i was the lakers just coming off a title year and i of course had one of the last draft picks. I drafted a 7'5'' white guy center for lithuania who was ranked like 75 overall and he started the all star game his rookie year, but he went down hill after that and was never an all star again. It's kind of annoying sometimes how you get these rookies who are already in their prime and despite their young age go dramatically downhill so quickly.

Yeah that's stupid, but it happens in real life sometimes.

If you want to, you could always change his destiny, ratings, and keep training him to see what happens.

In my last fantasy draft I got LeBron, Joe Johnson, Dwight Howard, Emeka, Luke Ridnour, and a very strong bench, best draft I've ever had by a long shot. and young too! They become very good!
