Just4fun: Your Dynasty vs. Orcs and Dwarves!

Well, one of my recent assignments in my software development course was to learn the concept of Object Oriented programing...so we had to construct a text-based version of the Middle Earth battle simulator, good vs evil... So, instead of having that code go to waste, I thought I'd have a go at it and port the code into a liveGMC side game...and have your dynasty versus the Orcs and Dwarves!

...and see who survives in the end!

You can paste your pstat text file into the following "Ballers vs. Monsters" form:

...you can paste it at any point during your season...

Eventuallly, I'll convert this so that your 'A' squad in your dynasty goes against the B squad (and then eventually keep track of the survivors) but this was just the first step into porting the code.

PLEASE POST YOUR RESULTS(well, just the last attack and your last baller survivors) and please please let me know what I can do to improve this little side-game!

...I had Ted Nugent join the 'bad side' of the text simulator but he kept on beating everybody up...so I decided yank him out... :wink:

I used last year's pstats & unsurprisingly, I got beaten....

Thanks for trying! Yes, your strength points earned is determined by your Player Proficiency Rating * 2. Somewhere down the road I'll make different classes for Centers, Forwards, and Guards...but for now I hope this will do...

Let's see who'll be the first Dynasty to survive!

I also used last year's pstat from my Dallas Dynasty

D. Nowitzki and a tall ranger has left for the last fight and Nowitzki won it.

used my 05 Sixers for this. i got beat

A poor ranger blesses C. Webber!(7 points of damage).
C. Webber screams "Aigh! That really really smarts!"
C. Webber has died!

this is hard to beat.

But then i used my 2nd season from live 05, and this was the ending result.
A infatigueable ranger blesses C. Webber!(8 points of damage).
C. Webber screams "Aigh! That really really smarts!"

Awesome! So we have Dalembert and Iverson on the boards! Anybody else want to take a stab at it?

Just as a little improvement, I'll probably put the mugshots of the surviving players in the code...but we'll take it one step at a time. Thanks cwebbiverson for trying it out!

Awesome, Anthony15…if anybody has better and funnier perhaps slightly more violent 'attack verbs' than the ones encoded, I'm totally up for suggestions…apparently 'kicks' isn't brutal enough to attract mass attention!

...I also put a survivor list on the first post...be honest now! :shock:

Is this compatible for Live 04? I tried a pstat from 04 and it didn't work too well. All the stats and stuff were just 0 for everyone.

It can be H Rock...I'll work on that tonight...that was something I was seeing if there was going to be any demand for it...apparently there is!

Okay Sit, I got you updated... I fell asleep working on some liveGMC code last night so I didn't get things updated as much as I wanted to. I have 'REAL' basketball tonight so it'll be later, but I'll get things updated here.
