I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I have a question for a lot of the patchers here.
Why get so mad when other people use your work?
People seem to get really ticked off when their work gets used without their direct permission, I just smile and say "Wow, I guess they like my work". I can totally understand your negitive reaction but i think we are holding back the progression of modding NBA Live 06
Some russian patchers have been known to "steal" patches and not give credit where credit is due, shit it just happened to me. I think rather than saying -Do NOT use my patches- say "give me credit or I'll prove to everyone that I made court or I made those CBs" because everyone (should at least) know I made that urban court, but if you dont think so w/e because I personally know, and if i want to I can prove it.
After I created those urban courts this past fall I went on to make a personal streetball mod. I didnt use any CBs or shoes, but I "stole" NBA Street 2004's jerseys. Using the textures for some jerseys I was making Notice the Jean Shorts rather than making my own custom jerseys which came out like this. My reasoning is this, It is just much easier to just use other peoples work, and not try and track them down for permission. I have no idea who made the Street 2004 mod so I kept that mod a personal one because I know what happens when you post other peoples work. And it was a really fun mod, especially with action settings. But I never released it and it got deleted after I virus infected my computer.....
Im just saying, we shouldn't ban or "force" (i mean cmon, who's going to physically stop them) patchers to stop using our creations because it is just putting a halt to ORIGINAL mods for NBA Live 06. Truthfully I get a little annoyed when I see 15 different T-mac Cyber Faces or 1000s of shoes. Yes i guess visually it helps, but enough is enough, brainstorm and think how we can take advantage of this game to the fullest!
