Will There Ever Be One?

Do you think EA will ever release an official patch with bug fixes for Live 06 or will they be selfish and not help us out?

It's far too late for that now. They started on Live 07 almost immediately after finishing 06, so if we were hoping for an official patch, we would have had to pushed for it fairly soon after the game was released so they wouldn't have gotten too involved with the next version..
So if people don't start demanding a fix for a game (through a petition, massive e-mails etc) soon after the release, they won't bother with it, unless they discover some major bug that needs fixing. It's kind of sad, but I can't really blame them.. It's just how it is these days.

I doubt it. EA doesn't care at all about NBA, they put all of their best game makers into madden and make patches and stuff for them.

The development of the Xbox 360 version pretty much ruled out any kind of updates for the PC version. Hopefully if there's issues in future versions we'll be able to get some fixes. Fixes were released for NBA Live 2003-2005 after all.

Yeah, but I'm wondering: isn't there a whole different developer that does the pc version? EA Canada? Or is it a port?

I believe there is a few. Last year (or if it was the year before that even) I remember there was two guys that got the game for testing a while before the release date, so they were able to give us some nice previews and stuff..
I still don't understand why they haven't made Andrew a tester yet though..

I'm guessing it's because I'm in Australia. It's not so easy for me to swing by the offices and take part in testing groups.

is there any NLSC member here from canada then? :P andrew's from australia and dahl from sweden (btw, cool practice court patch. can you modify it so we can use it on one on one  ). could NLSC recommend testers in nba live?

Dahl, from those testers that you've mentioned.. did they have the power to at least ask for modifications in the game and did EA made some after testing? i was just thinking that maybe EA included a lot of testers in their credits for the sake of putting names there.

I will release an update for it, but you can play 1on1 on it now actually. In the player select screen, look up to the right of the screen and you will see that it says Urban, just change that to Gym, and you'll be playing there instead (y)

And those two testers that came forward were only ‘late stage’ testers. They got a copy of the game which I would assume was final, just for evaluation purposes.. So no, I wouldn’t imagine they would have any influences.
