Steve Francis #8

Postby [L3]1101 on Sat Feb 25, 2006 7:12 pm

I've encountered an interesting problem. After the trade deadline, i updated the roster using the roster released by Andrew on the 13th of Feb. I used the roster update in the game. Now, after i finish with all the trades, i decided to start a dynasty with NY. To my surprise, the jersery number of Francis was automatically changed to #8. Now how did that happen. I didn't believe it at first so i redownloaded the patch again and did the trades, this time i checked Francis' jersey number using DBCommander. And it was changed to 8. To my knowledge, there isn't a value in players.dbf that specifies a "back up" jersey number. Does anybody know what going on here?

8 is simply the closest number available next to #3 on the Knicks roster so the game automatically picks the closest number available(counting upwards)
