Copying Data from one db to another

Postby Michael Jordan on Thu Feb 23, 2006 4:57 am

Hi,

I tried to copy lines of player data from one roster to another.
The tables are player.dbf and appearance.dbf. I copied the corresponding lines from one roster db files to the other roster db files.

When I pasted them in the new db I changed the numbers of playerID and AppearID so that it will feat with the nubers on the new roster. It seems O.K and the player appeared in the new roster. The problem was when I ran the game the player appeared black with white head. I tried to enter the edit player but then the game crashed.

Have I done something wrong ? am I missing something ?

if it does that then you will most likely have to do everything with dbf. what do you use? dbf commander?

Copy/paste often messes things up. If I have to copy from one to another, I do it manually. It takes a little while longer but it's safer.
