They have a sort of milder version in Live 2006. I play default sliders, 5 mins on Superstar Level. And I use the Jazz (I know they suck) to challenge any team that comes up on random pick (R1 button).
Most of my games are losses but at least not blowouts like in Live 2005. I try to keep close but during crunch time, the CPU seems to get more fouls (from on air collisions), they make most of their 3's with a hand in their face and I always seem to get no calls on air collisions when it kinda obvious that it should be a foul.
I'm not sure if there is still justice to defense in the game, no matter how tight you play it man to man, the CPU seems to be able to either be able to drive, dish inside and make a shot after an in air collision occurs or be able to grab the offensive rebound should they miss a contested shot. The latter I believe happens too often.
Or maybe I should just switch teams and not keep hoping that I can win successfully and consistently with the Jazz no matter which oppossing team I play against?
I have noticed that direct passing (L1 button) does not seem to be fool proof anymore as it sometimes does not hit the mark at all--always happens during post-ups.
I'm trying to familiarize myself to the defense stance (Right Analog Down) I just learned from another post in this forum. I supposed to at least increase your chances of stopping penetrations that deal most of the damage by the CPU. But I feel that this is too much multi-tasking on our part as players.
Anyway, its a CPU gripe post...
