A play for a jumpshot?

Postby air on Thu Oct 06, 2005 8:52 am

I was trying out the plays from the playbook but I don't really get them. What I'm looking for is a play that will free up a little space for my shooting guard and/or small forward for a jump shot.

You see, with a quick player (Davis, Richardson) it's easy to call a pick and go hard to the hoop. But there's guys like Dunleavy on my team who have a hard time doing this, with a pick & pop there's usually a guy on his face.

In Live 2005 I would back down at 20 feet from the basket, release the button for a quick couple of steps and pull up. This was quite effective but it's not possible anymore.

oh, I have a question, too.
Those "Team Plays" in the Offensive playbook, are those circles (players) suppose to be moving?
I dont get those plays at all :(, when I look @ tham, I see 4 orange circles and 1 blue circle; and they are not moving, I dont know which circle is which position.
u know what i mean?

Rip Iso will have your SG come off some screens. Philly has your PG come off screens for a jumper of if it's not there he can drive.

That play called rocket fuel if you handle it with your point guard you'll get your small foward Dunleavy set up for a three of some screens

"Single Double" executed with your PG will have your SF coming from left to right going through 2 screens. works wonders with a decent shooter like dunleavy.
