Hardwood Classics Talk

A collection of memorable (and infamous!) Forum threads. Other noteworthy threads, such as yearly NBA predictions, also get archived here.

Sorry to bump a nearly two year old topic, but here is a fitting question: are you aware that all of the old forum links are broken? I wanted to see what showerfun was.

What Stockalone do in the showers after a game...

The dead links to the old forum aren't that bad. They could be like links in threads predating the change back to phpbb standard links.

We are indeed. Our old host has finally taken down what was left on their server but not before we were able to download all those files so we'll be able to restore the links at some point.

I'm sorry, but discussing the concept of "showerfun" is illegal on this forum, as it was outlawed.

Simply asking about what it is can be compared to forcefully chugging down a bucket of bleach while listening to some shitty Nirvana songs.
I am a big John Stockton and Karl Malone fan. John Stockton and Karl Malone are the best NBA duo ever. They are more than just teammates and friends. Their relationships is unique and unseen in this league. They do everything together. They are soul mates united on the basketball court. I wish the Jazz would go back to those days :(.

Sometimes I wonder if these people behave like that in the real world.

viewtopic.php?f=53&t=49385 - Great thread. Question: why was HC demoted to being a sub-forum? I think these classic threads should be easier to find for newer members.

Those are hurting my fucking eyes. I'll put it in when I finish reading through that mess.

As far as the sub-forum thing goes, I don't remember specifically but I'd say it was to reduce the amount of scrolling people had to do to navigate the forum index.

It wasn't intended as a demotion, just a tidy-up and as Jae said, to cut down on the scrolling on the index. We're making more use of subforums across the board at the moment.

I recently used one of those sigs(Arenas, the one with the stars and stuff), great nomination.

I remember back in the day when I use to make signatures I knew that I am far more worse than that. Nice induction.

After that did Scoop make another PS thread? Or they just both disappear altogether?

3PK was banned, Scoop was a seventh-tier member who just sort of faded away.

Meh, not sure about that one. Seems like we have several threads already in the HC that are better versions of that. Seems a bit forced.

Edit: IMO

I'd agree, good for a chuckle but not one of the all-time great threads of that type.
