Any T.I. fans here? I just got my hands on T.I. Vs. T.I.P.

So far I've only listened to 5 songs off of it and I like them all. It's going to live up to the hype.

i got my hands on a TI vs TIP t-shirt for free at work. don't think highly of his first single though... never been a fan of his. the only TI song i've actually liked was the one with Justin Timberlake

oh the one with R Kelly and T-Pain isn't that bad either

I'm going old school for now.

albums on my rotation right now:

2pacalypse Now
Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Back (Public Enemy)
Steal This Album (The Coup)
Illmatic

so maybe not entirely old school, but nothing modern right now. Though I am anxiously awaiting Lupe's "The Cool".

TI originally wanted to use TIP, but decided to stick with TI out of respect for QTip. As for TIP, no clue what it means, but that was TI's nickname that was given to him from his grandfather. Take this with a grain of salt, since I got it off Wikipedia

if anyone likes post rock and especially god speed be sure to to check out fly pan am, valley of the giants, and a silver mt zion.

i didn't know devotchka had a big part in the little miss sunshine soundtrack, i really liked it and thought it sounded familiar. another soundtrack that I think is alright paris je t'aime if only for the new feist single (in french and english). also check out sarah slean and smog.

also if you are into acoustic guitar check out rodrigo y gabriela... or perhaps les finnigan though he may be hard to get a hold of.

also say anything's "...is a real boy" is pretty good too, as well other stuff i'm listening to lately - mayday parade, illscarlett and kiss kiss (which badman mentioned i think earlier), with a little ambulance LTD., some arcade fire, DMST, and a touch of radiohead. if anyone is into kind of wierd lo-fi, i've been listening to some devendra banhart (mildly reminds me of merritt/magnetic fields), not bad. I look forward to listening to the new new pornographers album tommorow (when i get it). i think i'm about to reenter a mingus faze though, preceded by jazz... anyone recommend some contemp?

Great blog so far, Tendo. I'm downloading 'The Road' right now. You gotta love Steve Hackett (Y).

Any Foo Fighters fans here? Anyway, their new album 'Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace' is being released this September. You can listen to what it's likely to be the first single off the album here.
Dear Old World, you represent everything that's wrong...

Common's "Finding Forever" is absolutely flawless, the best album I've heard since The Roots released "Game Theory" and probably the best album of 2007. Misunderstood is my favorite song but that old school boom-bap sound of The Game is dope too. With Start The Show Common picked the perfect 1st song of the album, just like he did with Be in 2005. The People and Southside are crazy songs aswell. The whole album is just amazing.

hmm my first reaction to that album was that it was pretty average. didn't really have time to sit down ad listen very carefully, though. when i get the time to listen to it again, i mgiht like it more. Be was an amazing album. I could listen to that CD front to back without skipping any songs (Y) although my only knock on that album was that it was pretty short just like the new one.
