My sports journalism blog • Rip City :: Uprise! [2-0]

Ok, so here is my last attempt at an association until 2k11 gets released. As I said, it's related to my sports journalism career, where I have an English class. The teacher asked us to, in the meantime, create a sports blog and make at least 2 posts a day with articles / info of our own, so no more articles copied from the web. Asked him if I could do it from a sports videogame (explained him a little about dynasties / associations) and he didn't have any problems with it. :cheeky:

The good news is THIS ONE REALLY WON'T STOP, or I'd fail the class  So you can all be certain it's non-stop. I will link all recaps, articles, and any post in the blog here.

Call me an asshole or something but a part of me wants you to fail in class. It's somewhat unnatural for a Thierry story to "finish", for lack of a better term.

Two a day? Good luck with that.

For the class. Oh well, good luck :D

GL man! kinda nice knowing we'll get at least a semester's worth of updates :)

Ironically, maybe you just need the Dynasty/Assoc. experience to be more like "work" instead of just "leisure" in order to stay focused. it's strange, but whatever works ;)

why Blazers, btw? thought Sixers/Turner RotY race coverage would be a sure lock

Did you get the job? Cause I'm entitled to your first paycheck.

And good luck with this. I think this is a far worse option, because now you have to update it. The thing about dynasties/associations is that you choose to do it, it's not a commitment.

When it has been your choice, you haven't stuck with one story. But now it's an obligation, don't know.

If this is what it takes, good for you. And good luck with the glass. :)

I have no idea how you're going to juggle a job, a class, writing two articles a day AND playing 2K10 but good luck. This is the absolute last one I'll pay any attention to though.

OK this time you are going to do this because you are obliged to it

Well, I don't know if it will "finish", but it's certain it will go until December (real December, not game December  ) at least. Don't know yet if I'll continue it after the English class ends, but I think I will.

Jae wrote:Two a day? Good luck with that.

Yeah, but he told us the second is more of a small article with stats, that kind of things (I think I'll use it for practice, player infos, injury reports, prospects info, I still have your NCAA applications) and the obligatory one for the game recaps.

I'll have to stay focused, it's for my future! Might see me covering a World Cup in 2018 or something like that. I played a couple of games with Philly and then with Portland and didn't feel the same, I already played with the Blazers and they were my most succesful story, and also, Megan is back! (not color-changing, but she's back)!

I hope not.

Thanks man. I'm keeping Webster and I have other 3 guys on the trading block.

Yes I did get the job, but it's not difficult. And yep, will reverse you the first paycheck up to Estonia. In fact, this is not a commitment (the "videogame" blog). The teacher wanted us to do a blog about actual sports info (like World Cup, Wimbledon, that sort of sports events) until December, I told him about dynasties / associations and he said it would be more fun to me, so, here it is. :D

Writing the articles on the job? The job is easy cake. I just go there to get paid  but I lose the job if I don't go there too many days, of course.

As I said to Martti, I'm not obliged! :P I could switch to a normal sports blog with actual events, but I wanted to do it this way so I could post here too and tell you how my team goes.

Click the update I posted to see it on the blog (I have some troubles when using Firefox, with Internet Explorer and Google Chrome it looks perfect).

Yeah. Not proud of it. :shake:

I know the posts are kinda poor right now, I'm posting a season preview later and then I'm pulling out the big guns when the season starts.

Wow, haven't been around for a while since I had to deal with some shit of my own, but that here does not really surprise me.
I hope you stick with this as it is a school project, but it's really sad to see that this kind of "duty" is necessary for you.

I get really bored here at home and at work  I love playing 2k and I figured it could be nice as a project... As I said, it's certain it will go until December at least.

I definitely bookmarked that blog. Seems like every time I check up on all the dynasties and associations on this board you always have a new one going on.

So you already have a targeted time of ending this? Anyway, that's five months away, so you shouldn't have any problem accomplishing one or two seasons in this thing. Otherwise, good stuff as always. (Y)
